The train will have a speed of 90km/h, compared to the current 14km/h of trains running, and will transport fruit, sand, construction materials, seamless pipes, methanol, among others. Construction is estimated to take 4 years. Once built, it will allow six times the amount of cargo transported by train to Vaca Muerta. The project includes the improvement of 420km of tracks and the renovation of another 197km of the Roca Cargas railway route between the towns of Bahía Blanca and Contralmirante Cordero, in Río Negro. The installation of another 83km is planned from this point and the Neuquén town of Añelo, near the Vaca Muerta formation.
