Description: Dow and Mitsui signed the JV for what will be the world's largest biopolymers facility, and which will be located in Santa Vitória, in the southern state of Minas Gerais. Ethanol derived from sugarcane will be used as feedstock at the site to produce plastics, initially for Latin America, and later for other markets. The plant will have a processing capacity ot 2.7M/t of sugarcane and will produce up to 240m/l of hydrated ethanol fuel a year.
