Liquefaction Oil terminals Gas pipelines

Description: Consists of a plant which transforms natural gas in liquid gas to reduce its volume and facilitate transportation by boat. Construction required an estimated workforce of 4,000 people. The plant is run by the Peru LNG consortium. The natural gas liquefaction plant is located in a desert area of 521 hectares, 170 kilometers south of Lima. Natural gas arrives at the plant from lot 56 of the Camisea field, in the Andean region of Cuzco. The power complex has a feed gas receiving unit that has the ability to separate and store any liquid that remains in the supply pipe. It also has a carbon dioxide and water extraction unit, and metal dehydration and absorption units. The plant has refrigeration and liquefaction facilities that allow natural gas to enter the two storage tanks, which have a capacity of 130,000 cubic meters, at a temperature of 163 degrees Celsius below zero.
