Coal Mining

Latin America has in Colombia one of the world´s largest coal mining countries, especially because of the Cerrejón mine, that in 2014 produced 24.9mn tons.

Despite natural gas' current fanfare, investors still find coal mining attractive as due to the mineral's larger reserves and greater historic price stability.
