Spain's Acciona Windpower signed a 90MW supply contract with Brazilian renewable power developer Rio Energy.
Under terms of the agreement, Acciona will manufacture and assemble 30 turbines for the Itarema wind complex in the northeastern state of Ceará, the Madrid-based firm said in a statement.
The turbines, to be mounted on concrete towers up to 120m tall, are due for delivery in 2015.
Acciona said: "The towers will be manufactured close to the wind farms using an innovative assembly method on site, created by Acciona for other wind farms in Brazil."
The company added that it hoped to finalize, within the next few months, a deal to supply 39 turbines totaling 117MW for other wind farms in the Itarema project.
