Earlier this year, Sowitec special purpose company Egelsa secured environmental approval for the 120MW Samaca wind project.

In a separate resolution, the ministry granted Electro Araza a temporary concession to carry out feasibility studies for the 108km, 220kV Limacpunco-Onocora transmission line in Cusco region.

The company, which recently filed an EIS for a 195MW hydro in the area, has six months to carry out feasibility studies for the line.
