The statement follows the sale by Sowitec of an 80% stake in its 800MW wind farm project pipeline in Brazil to French utility EDF.

The Brazil projects will require investment of approximately 1.6bn euros (US$1.72bn), Sowitec said.

Sowitec is active in 13 countries, with a global project pipeline totaling over 40GW of solar and wind projects.
