Tur Bus Will Buy Avant Airlines Today

After a month of negotiations, the coach company Tur Bus will sign the purchase of 100% of the Chilean airline Avant. According to sources from the Avant Airlines, the transaction will cost approximately US$6mn, and contemplates an investment plan that includes the incorporation of at least two more airplanes, with which the company will have a total fleet of four Boeing 737s.

Avant Airlines began operations in January this year and already controls approximately 4.4% of the domestic market, and plans to control 7% by the end of this year. Avant's main route is Santiago Concepcion.
