A delegation of technicians from the Chinese firm LinYi Cake Trade arrived in Bolivia and will spend at least five days inspecting the Andean nation's lithium battery pilot project in Potosí province city of La Palca, Bolivia state news agency ABI said.
The delegation will inspect civil works, electronic equipment and the project's pilot plant, which is scheduled to begin operations in April 2014.
Inspectors will be followed by another LinYi Cake Trade team tasked with installing additional equipment at the battery plant, the report said.
Upon completion the pilot project is expected to be capable of producing at least 1,200 ampere hours per month, which equals approximately one high-capacity battery or 120 low-capacity batteries per month.
