Brazilian federal energy group Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) will start producing crude from the Baleia Franca pre-salt oil field in the Campos basin for the first time on July 15, the company said in a statement.
Production will be launched through the FPSO Capixaba vessel connected to the 6BFR1ESS well.
Output will start at 13,000b/d but will reach 20,000b/d by the end of the year, Petrobras said.
The oil found in the Baleia Franca field, located in the Parque das Baleias complex, measures 29 degrees API.
