Brazilian oil company OGX has received an installation license for the extended well test (EWT) at its Waimea prospect offshore Brazil's Campos basin.
Environment protection agency Ibama has issued the license and equipment installation works for the test are now being started, OGX said in a statement.
Production is expected to reach 20,000b/d before year-end.
The OSX-1 FPSO vessel will be part of Waimea's EWT and has capacity of 80,000b/d.
OGX, a unit of Brazilian tycoon Eike Batista's EBX group, has 29 exploration and production blocks in Brazil and five blocks in Colombia.
