Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Uruguay-focused Petrel Energy will this week begin a 580km 2D seismic survey on the Salto and Piedra Sola concessions, with acquisition expected to take 10 weeks to complete.

The licenses cover a 3.5mn-acre (14,164km2) zone, the Australian company said in a release, adding that the 2D program will help define potential targets in previously drilled core holes that confirmed a robust oil system across most of Piedra Sola.
