Dow Water & Process Solutions has inaugurated its first laboratory in Mexico with an investment of US$100,000, according to local press reports.
Located within Dow Chemical's installations in Querétaro, the facility is equipped to provide technical support in the physico-chemical evaluation of ion exchange resins. It will also be used for research and development activities.
Through the lab, the firm will be able to offer solutions to the food and beverage, industrial water and municipal water segments.
The market for technologies in this area in Mexico is estimated to be worth some US$20mn, according to the report.
