Latin American consultancy and systems integrator Grupo Assa has named María Fernanda Santoro as vice president, online news source InfoChannel reported.

Santoro has worked with Grupo Assa since 1994 and most recently served as the firm's marketing director.

Santoro is trained as a systems analyst and has also completed graduate studies in marketing.

Brazilian IT solutions integrator and distributor Inspirit has named Claude-Philippe van den Broeck as Americas director, online news source IT Web reported.

Van den Broeck has held positions at numerous IT companies, including desktop and server management company ScriptLogic.

Inspirit currently has over 500 active clients and distributes products from solutions developers ActivIdentity, ManageEngine, NeverFail, Olive, ScriptLogic and Zoho.


Mexican PC manufacturer Lanix Technology has formed a distribution agreement with the local unit of US hardware and services wholesaler Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM), online news source InfoChannel reported.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ingram Micro will distribute Lanix's product line to its resellers around the country, as well as to retail establishments.

Lanix products are sold to consumers, businesses, government and academic institutions throughout Latin America.


Argentina's San Luis provincial government has tapped local storage solutions integrator TelexTorage for storage and deduplication services, the San Luis government said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, TelexTorage will implement the solutions at the government's data center.

TelexTorage CEO Mariano Denaro said San Luis is the first provincial government in Argentina to implement deduplication services.
