Mexico's tax authority extends e-billing migration for some taxpayers

Mexican national tax authority SAT has extended the deadline for individuals earning less than 500,000 pesos (US$38,155) in 2012 to migrate to electronic invoicing, according to local press reports.

The deadline has been extended to March 31.

For the rest of Mexico's taxpayers, electronic invoicing came into force on January 1, 2014.

The use of electronic signature, locally known as Fiel, will be mandatory for the issuance of electronic invoices.
