Argentine household goods and electronics retailer Ribeiro has implemented Oracle ATG Web Commerce, a component of Oracle Commerce Solution, to support its business growth, Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) said in a release.

Ribeiro reportedly increased per-sales person virtual invoicing by more than 400% by using Oracle ATG Web Commerce to establish new processes and best practices for its online operations, driving a five-fold increase in profits year-over-year, says Oracle.

The retailer is said to have implemented the solution in less than five months. Ribeiro purchased the Oracle Commerce software in May 2012.

Brazilian solutions supplier for online businesses Mercado Eletrônico has appointed Rogério Saran as new operations director, the company said in a statement.

Saran's main task will be improving the portfolio of services offered by the company with new e- and BPO solutions.

The company claims that the executive was the creator of the first Brazilian mobile banking solution.


Argentine software firm Finnegans has implemented its Ceres Teamplace Agro solution for Peruvian fruit exporter Safco.

Ceres Teamplace integrates purchasing, sales, accounting and taxes, treasury and finance processes for a company, avoiding duplication of data and making work processes more efficient.

The solution is an end-to-end ERP software with integrated web 2.0 tools, which aims to streamline operations and improve internal communication and the automation of critical business processes for agricultural firms, says Finnegans.
