State-owned Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) has chosen CRM and billing, interconnect and mediation solutions provider Cerillion Technologies to implement a fully convergent CRM and billing solution, Cerillion said in a statement.
The new solution will replace two separate legacy systems to consolidate all fixed and mobile services onto a single platform, including support for convergent prepaid and postpaid rating, according to Cerillion.
The Cerillion system will help BTC to launch new services quickly and provide new product bundles to customers.
The deployment is part of BTC's wider business strategy as the company prepares for privatization. Over the last month BTC has announced that Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS) will implement a next generation communications network for the telco, while Finnish operations support system (OSS) provider Comptel Corporation is supplying mediation, provisioning and activation solutions.
The Bahamas government said in April it is seeking proposals by consultancies to advise on the privatization of BTC.
