The Andean Development Corporation (CAF) has granted US$40mn in separate loans to four Bolivian private sector banks, CAF said in a statement.

The banks are country's largest bank Banco Nacional de Bolivia (BNB), the local unit of Peru's Credicorp (NYSE: BAP) Banco de Crédito, Banco Mercantil (BM) and Banco Económico.

The proceeds will be used to finance productive sectors activities and other financial needs, CAF said.

CAF considered the banks' sound financial indicators for granting mid-term loans, according to the statement.

Caracas-based CAF is a multilateral financial institution that promotes the sustainable development of its shareholder countries and regional integration.
