Armadillo Resources is a Canadian mining company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in North and South America, including Brazil. In May 2011, the company acquired the Amazon basin projects in northern Brazil which encompasses 154 concessions in the states of Amazonas, Mato Grosso and Rondônia. The acquisition comprises some 1,250,000ha of mineral exploration claims. Its assets in the country include gold projects Manicore, Aripuana and Curauai in Amazonas, gold projects Madeirinha and Juruena and diamond project Matupa in Mato Grosso, and gold-diamond-tin-copper projects Cacoal and Theobrama in Rondônia. Armadillo was incorporated in 2007 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
