Banco Pichincha S.A., formerly Banco Financiero del Perú, is a Lima-based Peruvian bank operating in the segments of personal finance, as well as offering services for small and big companies. Banco Pichincha offers savings, checking and payroll accounts, certificates of deposit, severance packages, insurance policies, debit and credit cards, and loans, among others. It operates a network of over 60 agencies across the country. The company was founded in 1964 as a financial entity and began operating as a bank in 1986. The Peruvian bank is a subsidiary of the Pichincha Financial Group. It is directly controlled by United States-based holding company Pichincha Holdings S.A., with most of the remaining shares held by Ecuador's Banco Pichincha C.A.
