Description

Brazil's Ministry of Planning, Development and Management is the federal government's agency responsible for national strategic planning and subsidies coordination for long-term public policies aimed at boosting economic development; assessing socioeconomic impact of the federal government's policies and programs and conducting research study aimed at policy-making; planning and follow-up of long-term investment plan and annual budget; defining the objectives and coordinating corporate governance criteria for federal government's state-run companies; managing the government's assets; and defining guidelines and policies for federal government's modernization, among other activities. The Ministry was created in 1962 and is headquartered in Brasília.
