Description

Pacific Midstream Ltd., a subsidiary of Canadian energy firm Pacific Rubiales, holds certain of its parent company's pipeline and power transmission assets. Pacific Rubiales, the International Finance Corp. and Belgian shipping firm Exmar, through Pacific Midstream, are developing the world's first floating LNG liquefaction and storage vessel. The unit will boast a non-propelled barge able to convert 1.97Mm3/d of natural gas into LNG for temporary storage and export. It also includes the construction of a pipeline to export gas from La Creciente field to the future terminal, which will be controlled and operated by Exmar.
