Description

Pecket Energy S.A., a subsidiary of Chile's engineering and construction company Ingeniería Civil Vicente (ICV), was created to develop alternative sources of energy based on sub-bituminous coal from southern Chile's Magallanes region. Based in Santiago, Chile, the company has been developing a project to build a substitute natural gas (SNG) production facility that would use coal gasification to supply energy to the region. The company also owns and operates the Cabo Negro wind farm in Punta Arenas which is comprised of three wind turbines that generate 850kW each.
