Description

Sociedad Aeroportuaria Kuntur Wasi S.A., a consortium comprising Argentine firm Corporación América and local company Andino Investment Holding, was awarded Peru's US$658mn concession to build and operate the new Cusco international airport. The 40-year, co-financed concession for Cusco's Chinchero international airport entails the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the facility. The terminal will replace Cusco's existing Alejandro Velasco Astete airport and is expected to handle 2.6mn passengers annually by 2021.
