The Chemours Company Mexico is involved in the manufacturing of titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is used as a pigment for products such as coatings, plastics, paper and minerals. Its parent company, The Chemours Company, completed a spinoff from Dupont in 2015. Its flagship production facility is the Altamira plant in Mexico. The company began a process of expansion at the plant in 2011 and has invested an estimated US$600mn in the project. In Mexico, The Chemours Company operates through three main segments: titanium technologies, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions.
