Brazilian distributor Companhia Estadual de Distribuicao de Energia Eletrica (CEEE-D), a subsidiary of local power group CEEE, is engaged in the distribution of electricity to residential, commercial and industrial clients in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state. The company supplies 1.4mn clients in 72 municipalities throughout the state, including the capital Porto Alegre. The concession area for CEEE-D covers 32% of the state through a 67,577km network. In addition, the company is currently developing an underwater 69kV transmission line project that will link Rio Grande do Sul state towns Rio Grande and São José do Norte. CEEE-D was founded in 2006 and is based in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
