Chilean power generator Colbún S.A., controlled by Grupo Matte, operates 25 plants on Chile's Central Interconnected System and one in Peru, amounting to a total installed capacity of almost 3,900MW. The company's portfolio comprises 17 hydroelectric power plants and seven thermal power stations (one located in Peru, owned by its subsidiary Fenix Power) and one solar farm, Ovejería. The firm was incorporated in 1986 and is headquartered in Santiago.
