Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) is a Central American family-owned company engaged in the production of wheat, corn, pasta and biscuits, the livestock industry, the operation of restaurant chains, and in the real estate, finance and energy sectors. It was founded in Guatemala City in the 1920s and today is present in 14 countries. The company's energy business unit, CMI Energía, is focused on the development, design, construction and operation of electric power generation projects in Central America. CMI Energía has a total installed capacity of 711MW, spread across hydroelectric, wind and solar power projects, including 55MW still under development.
