Description:

Grupo Global began its history more than twenty years ago, providing maintenance and industrial assembly services. However, it is in the generation of electric energy that the Group has been standing out in recent years and today, it is proud to be one of those responsible for the development of the sector in the country.
Actively operating in energy generation since 2001, the Global Group, through Global Participações em Energia SA – GPE, controls seven projects, five of which are thermoelectric plants and two small hydroelectric plants (SHP) in the N/NE regions of Brazil. The group's total generating capacity exceeds the 520 megawatt mark, enough energy to light five million ordinary 100 W light bulbs.
The Group's entry into electricity generation took place at the end of 2001, in the midst of an energy crisis. The country was going through a delicate situation, but the Group, which already had experience in providing industrial services, identified in the crisis an excellent opportunity to undertake. At the time, the Group won its first energy auction and, from then on, some factors contributed to its exponential growth. We highlight an internal policy focused on the continuous search for improvements, the synergy of a strong work team, with all the necessary know-how and the courage to seek new challenges, in addition to ethics and responsibility towards working conditions and the environment.
Grupo Global is currently present in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Amazonas, Tocantins and Bahia, where its administrative headquarters are located in Salvador.
