Description:

Lupatech is a Brazilian supplier of products, services and integrated solutions for the oil and gas industry. The firm provides a wide range of products and services, from exploration through distribution, including gas compressors, polyester anchoring ropes for deep and ultra-deep water, a wide range of manual and automated valves, coated pipes, composite-lined tubing, well completion tools, downhole monitoring systems, and oil field services such as wireline, well logging, perforating, slickline and well testing. Since 2013 the company has been carrying out a divestment process of its non-core assets, aimed at generating cash and reduce costs. It also introduced a extrajudicial reorganization plan in 2014 to restructure its financial debt. As a consequence of both processes, in 2013 Lupatech sold its pipeline engineering subsidiary Tubular Services to Vallourec Transportes e Serviços (VTS), while in 2014 it sold its operations in Argentina to private equity fund Sophia Capital. Later, in 2015, it completed the sale of Jefferson Sudamericana and its related companies to Argentine businessmen Ricardo and Felipe Menendez. The company started operations in 1980 under the brand name Microinox and adopted its current name in 1993 after a merger with Lupatech Valmicr.
