Venezuela's Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Transporte y Obras Públicas is a result of the fusion of the country's ministry of transport and public works and the ministry of water and air transportation in 2016. Its mission is to manage the national integrated and multimodal transport system; land, air, and water transportation infrastructure, equipment, facilities and services; regulation and permitting of all transport activities; and the regulation of the design and implementation of public works. The ministry is headquartered in Caracas and local offices in all of Venezuela's states.
