Sumitomo SHI FW, formed in 2017 by the union of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. and FW Energie B.V. (fluidized bed business of Amec Foster Wheeler) is aimed at combustion and steam generation technology for the renewable energy sector. Sumitomo SHI FW offers CFB and BFB steam generators and gasifiers, CFB boilers and scrubbers, metallurgical waste heat boilers and biomass gasifiers, as well as post-sales service to utilities, independent power generators and industrial clients. Headquartered in Finland, Sumitomo SHI FW has worldwide presence and a North and South American office located in The United States.
