Bolivia’s state hydrocarbons company YPFB has launched bidding for a synthetic diesel project and the implementation of mercury removal units.

The first call entails carrying out the conceptual engineering to produce the alternative fuel from tires, plastics and used lubricant oils.

The second tender is for the detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup of mercury removal units at the Rio Grande and Carlos Villegas liquid separation plants. A call to supervise this project also was issued.

Ecuador’s state hydrocarbons operator Petroecuador is offering a US$37.8mn, 730-day contract to provide production service for oils, lubricants, refrigerants, greases and other products, and technical, commercial, and shipping guidance to market the products to local and international customers.

Peru’s national oil company Petroperú issued a new call for bids for a pending auxiliary unit package not awarded as part of the Talara refinery modernization project.

The 20-year contract is for the supply of hydrogen and nitrogen produced from units which the winner will manage. The previous process was declared void.

For its part, hydrocarbons licensing authority Perupetro looks to hire a company for a 730-day contract to provide remote supervision of oil and gas production that will gradually replace on-site supervision.
