Mexico City tender watch

Mexico City published several tenders related to water systems, urban infrastructure, and transport, involving plant rehabilitations, roadworks, and signage.

Water tenders

Purísima Democrática water treatment plant rehabilitation

Mexico City’s water system authority Sacmex published tender SACMEX-DGAP-LP015-2022 on May 30 for the rehabilitation of water treatment plant Purísima Democrática. The plant is in Iztapalapa district.

A clarifications meeting is scheduled for June 13 and a tour of the plant for June 7. Proposals will be presented on June 20, but an awarding date has not been determined. Works are expected to begin on July 4 and finish in December.

La Caldera water treatment plant rehabilitation

Tender SACMEX-DGAP-LP016-2022 was also published on May 30 and involves the rehabilitation of La Caldera water treatment plant in Iztapalapa.

According to the official gazette, the clarifications meeting is scheduled for June 13 and a tour of the plant for June 7. Proposals will be published on June 20 and works should also start on July 4. 

Santa Isabel water tank rehabilitation

The Santa Isabel water tank rehabilitation tender was published under ID SACMEX-DGAP-LP017-2022. A visit to the site in Gustavo A. Madero district will be possible on June 7, while a clarifications meeting is planned for June 14. The deadline for the presentation of proposals is June 21 and works should start July 5. 

Sewage system rehabilitation

Venustiano Carranza district launched a tender for the rehabilitation of the sewage system of the Damián Carmona, Simón Bolívar, Tres Mosqueteros, Merced Balbuena, Cuatro Árboles, 20 de noviembre, Cuchilla Pantitlán, Romero Rubio, Álvaro Obregón, Aquiles Serdán, and Peñón de los Baños areas.

According to tender 3000-1061-009-2022, the clarifications meeting will take place on June 10 and the presentation of proposals is planned six days later. The decision will be announced on June 22 and works should start on July 5.

Urban infrastructure tenders

Disposal of construction and demolition debris in Álvaro Obregón

Álvaro Obregón district published tender 30001133-001-22 on June 1, seeking services to dispose of construction and demolition debris in several areas. A site visit will take place on June 6 and the clarifications meeting three days later. Proposals can be presented through June 14, when they will also be published, and works will start on June 27. 

Rehabilitation and maintenance of public infrastructure in Venustiano Carranza

Tender 3000-1061-008-2022 refers to the rehabilitation of sidewalks and curbs in 5to. Tramo de 20 de noviembre and 20 de noviembre. The clarifications meeting is scheduled for June 10 and the presentation of proposals for June 16.

The winner will be announced on June 22. Works should start on July 5.

Transport 

Metrobús signal and lighting rehabilitation

Mexico City’s Metrobús published tender METROBÚS/LPN/005/2022 on June 2. It involves the rehabilitation of signals and announcement boards along the Insurgentes corridor, belonging to line No. 1, and Eje 4 sur, served by line No. 2, as well replacement of lighting along line No. 3. 

A site tour is scheduled for June 8 and the clarifications meeting will take place five days later. Proposals will be presented on June 17 and the winner announced on June 22.
