ALL Plans to Double Container Cargo in 2000
Bnamericas Published: Monday, August 28, 2000
Brazil's railroad company America Latina Logistica (ALL) plans to double cargo volume between the region of Campinas, 100km from Sao Paulo and Argentine capital Buenos Aires to 150,000t this year, Gazeta Mercantil (Brazil) reported. ALL is Brazil's only railroad company to transport containers and currently runs three trains per week to Buenos Aires with a weekly total of 120 containers. Competitive costs and speedy delivery have attracted a lot of companies that are now opting for rail transport instead of sea or road delivery, according to ALL director Carlos Rosas.
