Bear Creek publishes latest Santa Ana sampling results

Vancouver-based Bear Creek Mining (TSX-V: BCM) has announced the results of 36 additional rock chip and channel samples at its Santa Ana silver prospect in Peru. The discovery of the Santa Ana bulk-tonnage silver target as defined by surface sampling averaging 80g/t silver over a 2.8km by 0.6km area was announced by the company on November 18, 2004. The latest samples were taken within the southern anomaly at Santa Ana. Channel sample results include 25m grading 85g/t silver, 4.5m grading 81.3g/t silver, 6.8m grading 107.4g/t silver and 126m grading 23.7g/t silver. Eight rock chip samples averaged 28g/t silver, while six samples from the southern limits of the anomaly yielded results including 6m grading 124g/t silver, 0.8m grading 344g/t silver, 1m grading 298g/t silver and 1.5m grading 786g/t silver. A total of 446 rock samples have been collected to date at Santa Ana and average 82.8g/t silver, 0.37% lead and 0.32% zinc. Drilling is expected to take place during the second quarter of 2004, while a mapping and sampling program will be carried out over the entire target area in January.
