Essal Calls Auction for Wastewater Treatment System

Chile's Region X-based waterworks company Essal, operated by Spain's Iberdrola, has invited local and foreign companies to participate in the auction for the design and construction of the Puerto Montt wastewater treatment system. Bidding rules are available from Essal and offers will be received on October 2. Companies wishing to participate must have designed and constructed at least three underwater outlet pipes and three urban wastewater treatment plants, serving over 100,000 inhabitants. The contract includes the system's engineering designs, the supply and installation of equipment, the construction of an underwater outlet pipe, and initial operation.
