In Brazil, National Petroleum Agency (ANP) director Luiz Horta denied a new gasoline price increase this year after distributors announced prices should increase 2% this month. Sugar cane refiners announced an 8% increase in the price of anhydrous alcohol, which is mixed with gasoline in Brazil. In Chile, state oil company Enap announced a fuel price reduction for wholesale distributors as of Monday (Dec.11) that would reach 10 pesos (US$0.017) per liter of gasoline and of 15 pesos (US$0.026) per liter of diesel.
