Pemex could drill 22 wells at Sihil field through 2012

Mexican state oil company Pemex could drill as many as 22 wells at offshore field Sihil in the Gulf of Mexico through 2012, according to a newswire report. This would triple output at the field that is part of the company's Cantarell complex. Production may rise to 120,000b/d using improved recovery techniques at the field, Bloomberg reported Pemex engineer Miguel Angel Lozada as saying at a conference in Veracruz. Pemex produced 35,220b/d from Sihil in April, according to estimates from Mexico's energy ministry.
