Pemex domestic oil derivatives sales up 30% Jan-Apr

Mexico's state oil company Pemex sold 109bn pesos (US$10bn) worth of oil derivatives on the domestic market from January-April this year, up 29.7% compared to the same period in 2004, the company said in a statement. In terms of volume Pemex sold an average 1.77 million barrels a day of oil derivatives in Mexico over the four-month period, the statement said. Gasoline sales were up 31.3% year-on-year to 52.2bn pesos, of which Magna sales were 42.9bn pesos and Premuim sales were 9.3bn pesos. Diesel sales were up 44% to 20.5bn pesos and low-sulfur diesel sales increased 38.3% to 3.42bn pesos from January-April compared to the same period of 2004. Jet fuel sales increased 62.2% to 4.92bn pesos, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sales were up 16.2% to 15.8bn pesos. Fuel oil sales over the four-month period brought in revenues of 10.5bn pesos, the statement said. Natural gas, industrial fuel oil, asphalt, paraffin and lubricant sales earned Pemex revenues of 1.77bn pesos January-April this year.
