Ursea to monitor Gaseba following complaints

Uruguay's utilities regulator Ursea has decided to monitor the information local gas distributor Gaseba provides its clients following consumer complaints that Gaseba misled them about the price of gas, Ursea said in a statement. Gaseba created the expectation with its clients that by converting to natural gas they would save more money, the statement said. However, Ursea's commission could not say for sure if the company had tried to mislead consumers. Ursea has resolved to monitor Gaseba's public information to make sure it is providing information that is "sufficient, clear and true," the statement said.
