Argentina opens 2 bids for Río Negro water system expansion
Argentina’s waterworks agency Enohsa opened two bids for a 2.49bn-peso (US$17mn) contract to expand the potable water system of the city of General Roca, in the southern province of Río Negro.
The works outlined in the tender include:
-Overhauling the pumping system on the Negro River
-Replacing a 40-year-old raw water pipeline
-A new 10km impulsion pipeline
-Adding a new module to the local potable water treatment plant with capacity of 900m3/s.
The bidders are:
José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles (4.99bn pesos)
PowerChina (2.90bn pesos)
