Bahia utility to start in sanitation project

Embasa, the water utility of Brazil's Bahia state, is planning to invest 82mn reais (US$22.1mn) in a sanitation project in Brumado city.

The plan includes installing 250km of a collecting network throughout the city, along with seven lift stations.

Works are expected to start in June, a company's spokesperson told BNamericas.

Currently, the city has a population of around 67,000.
