Brazil's Caixa Seguridade appoints new CEO

Caixa Seguridade, the insurance arm of Brazilian state-run bank Caixa Econômica Federal (Caixa), appointed a new CEO.

Marco Barros, who was head of pension plan provider Brasilprev, will replace José Raimundo Santos Lima at the top position.

The executive will assume the post on January 28 and his tenure will last until May 15, 2020.

Barros' main task will be to lead Caixa Seguridade's IPO process.

Caixa's new CEO, Pedro Guimarães, has already confirmed plans for the IPOs of four subsidiaries in the areas of insurance, cards, asset management, and lottery.
