Cemex restructures top management

Bnamericas

Mexican cement giant Cemex (NYSE: CX) has restructured its corporate operations into six executive vice presidencies reporting to the CEO.

The move includes the appointment of José Antonio González as CFO, Maher Al-Haffar as investor relations executive VP, Mauricio Doehner as corporate affairs and enterprise risk management VP, and Ramiro Villarreal as legal affairs VP, according to a Cemex statement.

Juan Pablo San Agustín will continue as executive VP of strategic planning and business development, while Luis Hernández will remain as executive vice president of organization and human resources.

Last week, Cemex appointed Rogelio Zambrano as chairman and Fernando Gonzalez as CEO, following the death of CEO Lorenzo Zambrano at the age of 70.

The six operational regional presidencies, including Mexico, South America and the Caribbean, will remain unchanged and continue reporting directly to the CEO.
