
CFE Director General Manuel Bartlett Díaz meets with deputies of the Energy Commission
At the request of the president of the Energy Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Manuel Rodríguez González, the General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), Manuel Bartlett Díaz, received some of the legislators that make up the Commission: Julio César Ángeles Mendoza, Carlos Enrique Martínez Ake, Mirtha Iliana Villalvazo Amaya, Javier Borrego Adame, Eulalio Juan Rios Fararoni, Enrique Ochoa Reza, Pablo Guillermo Angulo Briceño, Ana Laura Bernal Camarena and Evaristo Lenin Pérez Rivera.
During the meeting, the deputies presented the main problems that arise in the different regions they represent. They agreed that the main problems to solve are the increase and reclassification of electricity rates; revision to be able to connect wells to the energy and with it, to supply irrigation in agricultural and cane areas; as well as look for solution schemes to settle debts and the creation of a rural tariff.
On behalf of the CFE, Martin Mendoza, Director of Basic Supply, explained to legislators the reasons for the increases in rates, reported on agreements and agreements that were already established with the governments of some states to reclassify rates and make payment plans , and promised to analyze case by case if necessary.
Guillermo Nevarez, Director of Distribution, explained to the legislators the causes of the loss of electricity, technical and non-technical, and undertook to detail the strategy of combating the theft of energy at a future meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Bartlett Diaz asked for support to the legislators so that the population understands the importance of paying their electricity bill, since this will allow the Federal Electricity Commission to be strengthened and create strategies that allow offering a better service for the better. of the population.
