The president of the National Congress, Luis Redondo, the board of directors and representatives of the benches of the different political parties that make up this State Power, met with representatives of the National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) to review contracts prior to approval by the Legislative Branch.

The vice president of the National Congress, Hugo Noé Pino, explained that there are 27 contracts of the National Electric Power Company that come from the previous government period and that are submitted to the National Congress for approval for transferring the government period what happened.

Noé Pino revealed that these contracts are within the financing of the general budget of the Republic, they come in concessional terms and there should be no major problem in their approval because the additional budget that is requested in said contracts is not.

"These contracts are not for power generation, they are consulting and asset purchase contracts," concluded Noé Pino.

While the deputy manager of the ENEE, Vladimir Rodriguez, stated that: "I want to thank the National Congress and President Luis Redondo, because we wanted to review with them some consulting and asset acquisition contracts that come to modernize the company."

There are 27 contracts that were reviewed, the amounts, the duration, and that were not sent to the National Congress because they were already in execution and it was necessary that they be reviewed.

"The funds come from the IDB, JICA, and China (Taiwan) that are aimed at modernization," he concluded. The Power Commission of the People's Congress was also present at the meeting.
