Ecuador operators ordered to identify commercial calls

Ecuador's telecoms regulator Arcotel has issued a policy that forces operators to identify incoming commercial calls for mobile phone users.

Mobile operators will have five months to make the necessary adjustments to their networks.

Measures will include mechanisms such as grouping numbers according to type: advertising, direct sale or information based.
