Alstom signs wind turbine deal with Brazil's Enerplan

French equipment manufacturer Alstom has signed a 26mn-euro (US$33mn) deal to supply eight additional wind turbines to Brazil's Enerplan.

The units will be used for Enerplan's 21.6MW Pontal 2A wind farm in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, Alstom said in a statement.

The agreement follows a 10-turbine deal signed by the companies last year.

Alstom will now provide Enerplan with 18 of its ECO 122-model turbines, each with a generation capacity of 2.7MW.

The units are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2015.
