Bolivian hydroelectric calls draw over 30 groups

Over 30 companies expressed interest in the Rositas (600MW) and San José (124MW) hydroelectric projects in Bolivia.

Potential bidders that attended an information meeting for Rositas included Acciona, Construmax, Engevix, Epitsa, Gas Natural Fenosa, Geodata Engineering, IC Rimac, IDC Ingeniería, Inge, Inypsa, Leme Engenharia and Typsa, according to state power company Ende.

Attendees for San José included Hydrochina, Iecsa, Isolux Corsan, Lurpelan, Rainpower and Sinohydro.

Ende issued a consultancy call last month for Rositas' final design and bidding documents. A tender for the San José works was launched in May. Bidding deadlines for both calls have been pushed back to August.
